Ability ScoresThe first character

1.  Each player’s first character will roll the following dice for their ability scores: 9d6, 8d6, 7d6, 6d6, 5d6, 4d6, 3d6.  Each score will comprise of any 3 of the dice rolled for that score.  The scores may be allocated to any attribute (strength, wisdom etc) after all scores are rolled.

Ability Scores—Subsequent characters

2. Each player’s second and subsequent characters will roll 4d6.  Each score will comprise of any 3 of the dice rolled for that score.  The scores may be allocated to any attribute (strength, wisdom etc) after all scores are rolled.

Starting LevelThe first character

3. The first character.  Each player’s first character will start with a total level equal to the level of the lowest single-class character in the party.  Dual or multi-class characters must share this level between the classes chosen. [I need a better system than this]

4. The number of experience points that a character starts with will be determined by the DM.

Starting Level—Subsequent characters

5. Each player’s second and subsequent characters will start one level below the lowest single-class player character in the party. Dual or multi-class characters must share this level between the classes chosen.

6. The number of experience points that a character starts with will equal the base XP for that level + (1d100 - 10)% of the difference between the current level and the next level.

Psionics

7. All players have a base chance of 1%.  Bonuses are given at the following rates:

·                    plus 1% for every point of Wisdom, Intelligence or Constitution over 15.

·                    plus 1% for characters 5th - 8th level

·                    plus 2% for characters 9th level or higher

·                    calculated chance is HALVED if the character is a Priest, Wizard or non-human

8. Read Skills & Powers page 156 for negative effects if the roll is higher than 96%

Magic ItemsThe first character

9. A player’s first character will be allocated a variable number of magical items on creation, as determined by the DM.  One of these will be chosen at random by the player using the table below, and re-rolled if not applicable to that character’s class.

10. Roll percentile dice and consult DM’s Guide pages 184-190
